VFS

“Founded in 1987, Vancouver Film School is Canada’s premier post-secondary entertainment arts institution. Its 13 programs span the entertainment industry, from Animation & Visual Effects to Film Production to Game Design. Students in the one-year Film Production program develop the requisite skill-set to become independent filmmakers, including directing, producing, cinematography, art direction, and editing of dramatic and documentary film projects. Film Production alumni have been recognized at festivals worldwide and include Emmy nominees and Spirit Award winners.”

OA and VFS. 

Since 2007, VFS has helped with the documentation of our projects. In April/May 2009, VFS sent two top graduates from their film production program to Gulu, Uganda for our pilot project. Our ability to document and to share the project stories has been exponentially improved as a result of this.  In addition to the project introductory video and the daily video blogs, VFS is helping us produce some longer pieces that will be on our site in the near future. 

We are very excited to be working with some of the best in the business. From their office in Vancouver to the two filmmakers who have been in Gulu with us, we are thankful for their work, energy and dedication in supporting OA.
