ANA’S PLAYGROUND, a short film based on an original narrative story, was created to raise awareness about the issues surrounding war-affected children. Written and directed by Eric D. Howell, the film is fictional, and set in a nameless place with no recognizable language to highlight the universality of the message: War crushes the fragile humanity of a child and affects the soul of the entire world community.
Howell and his producing partners Jillian Nodland and Marsha Trainer are dedicated to using the film to advocate for groups who are working to help children (like OA!), and have already participated in the donation of over 900 soccer uniforms from corporate sponsor Mazamba to children in Kenya and Iraq. TEAMPAGES is a unique way to manage your sports team. Anybody who’s coached or played on a youth sports team or recreational adult sports knows how hard it can be to keep track of all the players, schedules and communication. TeamPages takes the headache out of team sports by making it simple to manage your sports team online.
The idea for TeamPages began in 2006 when CEO Mike Tan agreed (or was volunteered) to be the manager of his recreational soccer team. Quickly, the problems with keeping his team on track became apparent — too many emails back and forth, too many Excel spreadsheets, and too much frustration.
It was at that point that Mike decided that there had to be a better way. So he spent several months putting together a business plan and recruiting the top local talent.
Since launching the original prototype in January 2007, the TeamPages community has grown to over 20,000 teams located in over 25 countries and have expanded its services to include free team websites, online registration as well as online league software.
