Charitable Status

Good news! The hardworking team at Borden Ladner Gervais in Vancouver, mainly Kim McGarrity, Ron Bozzer and Steven Meurrens, have significantly helped the OA cause. A new, and unique, entity has been registered under the income tax act of Canada. Equal Opportunity Society (BN 83605 8693 RR0001) will act as a sister organization to Opportunitas Aequa. OA will continue with the heavily soccer focused activities and EO will take over the charitable activities related to community building.

In light of this great news, everyone from the OA team would like to thank Kim, Ron and Steven for all of their donated time. We are excited by this step forward and are honoured that the CRA has accepted Equal Opportunity’s application to join an exclusive and meaningful community of charities.
